The library will be closed Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, to allow DTE and electrical engineers to safely complete the building’s backup generator installation.  Normal hours will resume Monday, November 11.

Smart Money 2024 is a two-part Investment Education & Retirement Planning Series presented by Jonathan Strong, CRPC, Vice President, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, Financial Advisor

Session 1: For beginner to intermediate investors. We will discuss how to organize your investments, set planning goals, and ways to earn high interest on your cash using CDs, Treasury bills and bonds. We will cover the best investments now using mutual funds, ETFs, stocks and bonds. Portfolio examples discussed with a question & answer period.

Session 2: For intermediate to advanced investors. We will discuss today’s investment environment, how to invest during high interest rates, inflation and a possible recession. Resources & Research to find leading investments in individual stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, Michigan tax free municipal bonds and the key sectors for long term investment potential. Portfolio examples discussed with a question & answer period.
