The internet has a wealth of resources and opportunities to stay connected but scams are getting more sophisticated every day and its easy to become a victim of one, especially senior citizens. Join Captain Jen Miles from the Oakland County Sheriff's Department as she talks about how to stay safe on the internet for senior citizens. She will discuss current scams, including artificial intelligence scams, internet options that can be changed to increase online safety, the basics of safety on social media and ways to prevent being a victim of one of the many scams out there  today.  Attendees will have a chance to ask any questions that are relevant to their situations, including ones they may not feel comfortable asking their family.

Captain Jen Miles is the Commander for the Emergency Communications and Operations Division for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, including the 911 Call Center.
