Program Description

Event Details

Do you want to improve your skills in speaking and understanding English? The Oxford Public Library is hosting a group to help you learn to speak, listen to, and even read and write in English! Whether you are new to the English language or have been speaking it for a while, this English as a Second Language (ESL) group is for you. The group, hosted by Librarian Assistant, Greg Bullen, can help you in a restaurant, at the bank, on the job, and with school staff and teachers as well. You’ll have fun and maybe make some new friends, too! The ESL group meets the third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Ostrander Room. Sign up or simply drop in. Everyone is welcome!

Greg Bullen, M.A., is a certified ESL instructor, with 20 years of experience in education. He loves to teach and learn from students of every age and makes sure that everyone is included. Greg uses games, story, humor, and music to make the group both fun and practical. The goal is for students to learn English for everyday life; a benefit is deep, rich relationships. Please call the Oxford Public Library at (248) 969-9490 if you have questions. We hope to see you there!
